We are looking for a Night Shift Supervisor to lead from the front and help us deliver excellence across our production departments (HC Fillers, HC Bulk, Prep, Mixing, LC Packing & Mayo Plant). This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role where your energy, decisiveness and professionalism will help us stay ahead of the competition. As Night Shift Supervisor, you'll take ownership of the hour-by-hour and day-to-day performance of your department. With the support of the Area Leader, you'll lead your team to achieve production targets, uphold the highest safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement. This role suits someone who is confident, balanced, and solutions-focused – someone who can think on their feet and lead calmly under pressure. Food manufacturing is dynamic and sometimes unpredictable. While we value work/life balance, flexibility is key, as occasional additional hours may be required to support audits or operational challenges.
What You'll Be Doing
* Promote and champion a strong safety culture.
* Ensure daily pre-start checks and toolbox talks are completed.
* Drive near-miss reporting and sustainable corrective actions.
* Take full ownership of product quality and GMP standards on shift.
* Ensure compliance with technical, legal, and company policies.
* Monitor machine performance, downtime and yields.
* Track hourly/daily KPIs and generate clear reports for the Area Leader.
* Ensure production targets are achieved – and investigate root causes when they're not.
* Manage rotas, holidays and return-to-work interviews.
* Support training, coaching and performance management (up to Stage 2).
* Conduct new starter assessments and support employee development.
* Work closely with Engineering, Technical, HR, Planning, Procurement and NPD.
* Manage labour costs and material variances against standard.
* Monitor waste and giveaway.
Qualifications & Experience
* At least 12 months' supervisory or stand-in leadership experience.
* Experience in food manufacturing (chilled food desirable).
* Level 2 Health & Safety.
* Level 2 Food Safety.
* Level 2 HACCP.
