HGV Mechanic
Location: Motherwell
Salary: Up to £50,000 Basic (DOE)
Shift: Day Shift (with flexibility as required)
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Mechanic to join our team in Motherwell. This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 qualified technician looking to join a professional operation offering strong earning potential and ongoing training support.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of HGVs
* Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs
* Conduct routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance
* Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
* Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
* Work in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
* Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – essential
* Proven experience working on HGVs in a workshop environment
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence (Class 1 licence desirable but not essential)
