Temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant | Poole (On-site) | £14 - £16 per hour
We’re working with a fast-paced, growing business in Poole who are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to support their finance team on a temporary basis.
This is a busy, hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in keeping the purchase ledger running smoothly — ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume environments and can hit the ground running.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day purchase ledger tasks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and timely processing.
Key responsibilities include:
* Processing a high volume of supplier invoices quickly and accurately
* Matching, batching and coding invoices
* Managing and resolving supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
* Supporting payment runs
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
* Maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider finance team
What we’re looking for
* Strong purchase ledger / accounts payable experience
* Confident processing high volumes of invoices
* Proven ability to manage and resolve queries effectively
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work at pace in a busy environment
* Strong communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
