About the Role
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Area Resource Base (ARB) within a school in Bude. This full-time position involves working closely with pupils who have additional learning needs, delivering small-group and individual support, and leading lessons during teachers PPA time, leadership cover, and training sessions.
You ll be part of a nurturing, inclusive school environment that prioritises the needs of all learners. The ARB supports pupils across a wide range of abilities and encourages independence, resilience, and positive engagement.
Responsibilities
As a HLTA in the ARB, your role will include:
* Leading and managing small group or individual sessions
* Supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs
* Creating and maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment
* Assisting in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
What We re Looking For
We re looking for someone who:
* Has a strong understanding of how children with additional needs learn
* Is confident managing and delivering learning activities
* Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Is organised, flexible, and committed to inclusion
* Has experience in SEN or specialist settings (desirable but not essential)
