Lead Clinical Physiologist – Cardiac Rhythm Management
We are delighted to offer an opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Cardiac Physiologist to lead our Cardiac Rhythm Management service at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This post has arisen due to progression of the previous post holder.
The CRM service at NNUH is well established and we are one of the largest implanting centres in the UK delivering a full range of CRM procedures, including over 2000 procedures in the last year such as CRT±D, Leadless pacemakers, SICD, LBAP, etc. We are also looking to expand further and introduce EV ICD and other leadless devices. This is a busy and very efficient service delivered by a team of dedicated CRM physiologists. We are entering an exciting phase of Cath Lab redevelopment and refurbishment which will contribute to an expansion of our service and improve integration with the EP, coronary and non‑invasive services.
We welcome the challenge of the forthcoming EPR, which should effectively integrate the multiple systems needed to ensure the safe management of our CRM patients.
The post holder will develop, lead and manage the CRM service, with a 50% commitment to clinical duties. Beyond the clinical duties, the post holder will be responsible for managing the CRM staff, developing CRM educational programmes, training and competency assessment, SOPs and clinical guidelines, and will act as deputy to the Principal Physiologist during periods of absence along with other specialist lead physiologists. Managerial integration with surrounding hospital may see collaborative working, development of some bradycardia work and focus on developing and expanding the complex pacing service.
BHRS/IBHRE accreditation is essential. There is an on‑call requirement for this position.
