Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Student Learning Advisor to join a reputable college in West London on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with learners, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and group academic support to students across a range of courses
* Assist learners with study skills, time management, and assignment planning
* Support students with additional learning needs, including those requiring extra academic guidance
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to identify and support at-risk learners
* Develop and deliver workshops on study skills, revision techniques, and academic writing
* Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of support provided
* Promote inclusive learning practices and help create a supportive learning environment
* Support students in building confidence, resilience, and independent learning skills
Requirements
* Experience supporting learners in an educational or training environment
* Strong understanding of study skills and learning support strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs
* Good organisational and record-keeping skills
* A relevant qualification in education, learning support, or a related field (desirable)
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
