Are you looking for a new job and fantastic career and development opportunity? If so, we have a great 12-month secondment for you in our Wessex Water Enterprises (WWE) Management Accounting department.

What you'll do

In this varied and interesting role, working alongside the WWE Management Accountant, the main task is to provide high-quality information and finance assistance to all our stakeholders.

Our teams aim is to give the YTL Enterprises/GENeco and EnTrade Management teams the information and insights to enable them to run their businesses efficiently and effectively.

You will play a part in delivering the outputs of the team. This comes in the form of monitoring, interpretating and reporting on the financial performance of each business stream. Helping in the creation of annual financial budgets and updating the assumptions made within quarterly forecasts enabling business performance tracking throughout the year. Your role will cover operating income and expenses plus reporting on a significant capital investment programme.

Your responsibilities will also include:

1. assisting the team in preparing annual budgets
2. monthly accounts preparation
3. the provision of financial data for business reviews
4. monthly meetings with business leaders to monitor performance against budgets
5. developing and enhancing financial reporting with the rest of the team
6. assisting in data provision during audits and liaising with external auditors.

What you'll need

To really flourish in this position, are you advancing through AAT, CIMA or ACCA?

We are looking for someone to bring a positive attitude and a customer service approach to the Finance department.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications. Excel skills are essential for this role. Experience of the Agresso Finance system is desirable.
