About UTEC

UTEC Group runs international logistics operations that have been evolving for more than 18 years, with offices in Ukraine, the United Kingdom, China and Poland serving clients across 30+ countries on five continents.

The core business of the group is UTEC Logistics - an international freight forwarding company providing air, sea, rail, road, and multimodal transportation. We manage complex cross-border shipments, including project cargo, high-tech goods, dual-use and regulated cargo, as well as time-critical deliveries.

UTEC acts as a single responsible logistics partner, covering the full door-to-door cycle: routing, consolidation, customs and financial support, tracking, and delivery.

We handle more than 200 tons of cargo monthly, supported by a team of 80+ professionals working in a 24/7 operational model.

Alongside logistics services, the group develops digital solutions, including EasyGet - a mobile product with over 70,000 users worldwide, currently being developed further as a SaaS platform.

UTEC works with importers and exporters across industries such as manufacturing, electronics, healthcare, defense, automotive, construction, energy, and consumer goods, supporting businesses of different sizes - from small shipments to large-scale international projects.


About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded Head of Sales to lead and grow our UK commercial operations.

This role combines hands-on sales leadership with operational and administrative oversight, ensuring strong coordination between sales, customer service, and logistics teams.

You will be responsible for revenue growth, commercial performance, and service quality, while building a scalable and disciplined sales function.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Growth

* Develop and lead the commercial sales strategy for the UK market
* Take an active, hands-on role in business development and key accounts
* Achieve revenue and growth targets through proactive sales activity
* Expand the client portfolio and secure long-term, high-value partnerships
* Identify new market opportunities and strengthen competitive positioning
* Oversee pricing, commercial proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations

Operational & Administrative Oversight

* Work closely with logistics and operations to ensure smooth service delivery (road, sea, air, multimodal)
* Support branch performance through structured sales planning and forecasting
* Oversee customer onboarding, contract management, and documentation flow
* Monitor financial performance, margins, and cost structure
* Contribute to P&L targets, budgeting, and performance reporting
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and legal requirements

Team Management

* Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales team
* Set clear KPIs, targets, and accountability standards
* Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and capability development
* Foster strong collaboration between sales, admin, and operations


Representation & Relationship Management

* Maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors
* Represent the company in client negotiations and industry meetings
* Strengthen the company’s brand and reputation through professional B2B engagement


Qualifications

* Strong experience in freight forwarding or logistics
* Experience in a senior commercial, business development, or leadership role
* Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations and processes
* Proven track record of achieving revenue targets
* Strong analytical skills, with experience in reporting, and budgeting
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
