Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
Our client is a leading manufacturer supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland. We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday days, offering a great opportunity for those seeking to avoid shift work. Overtime over 40 hours is paid at a premium rate.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 3 Engineering qualification or similar
* Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
2. Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime
3. Fault find and identify root causes of issues
4. Conduct planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules
5. Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance
6. Record maintenance activities using maintenance software
7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and H&S
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production setting
* Strong mechanical skills including welding and fitting
* Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors
* Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
