Birmingham City Council have some exciting roles available within the Impact Project Team for 2 years post qualified Social workers who are passionate about Adult social work.
Your new role
As a qualified social worker, you will be working within the Citywide Adults Impact Team, a project team focusing on cost efficiencies through the process of review or reassessment.You will need to undertake conversation 3 discussions: support planning,pletion ofmissioning of care forms (budget requests), reviews, mental capacity assessments, CHC, MDT, and working with a variety of client groups within Adult Social Care. As a qualified social worker will be working within a strong established social work team undertaking caseloads with citizens to identify needs and oues. You will deliver an enhanced customer experience that promotes the well-being of vulnerable adults and enable them to live independently for longer, supporting them in retaining and regaining their skills and confidence.An essential requirement for the role is wholly dependent on the person being able to risk assess individuals whilst maximising their independence.The desirable requirement for the role is someone who has experience of project work and is able and resilient to adapt to change at the request of the project lead.This role is currently not suitable for newly qualified social workers due to the fast pace and independent work required.This role will pay depending on experience and on an ongoing contract. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to
1. Have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/ in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW)
2. Social Work England registration
3. 2 years post-qualifying experience.
4. Previous experience working within Social Work adults services
5. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Flexibility to travel as required.
