Your Role: Health, Safety & Environment Manager
Location: Droitwich
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are on the lookout for an experienced professional to lead our Health, Safety & Environment initiatives. In this role, you will develop, implement, and support site-specific HSE plans, ensuring compliance with legal standards while aligning with our company strategy.
Your Responsibilities
* Support risk assessments and establish safe systems of work.
* Maintain legal permits required by the site, including environmental permits.
* Conduct audits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Assist managers in investigating accidents and near misses.
* Enhance the capability of colleagues in their specific HSE roles.
* Challenge and coach colleagues on unsafe practices and procedures.
* Promote and improve the health and safety culture throughout the site.
* Liaise with external authorities, insurers, and suppliers as needed.
* Facilitate cross-functional health and safety meetings to drive performance improvements.
* Develop and implement HSE plans to elevate standards in health, safety, and occupational health.
* Manage environmental and safety-related costs at the site level.
* Oversee the TACCP and BCP agenda for the local site.
* Monitor, analyze, and report on accident statistics and KPIs to drive improvements in HSE performance.
What You Bring to the Table
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent with experience in HS&E management.
* Membership in IOSH.
* An environmental qualification such as AIEMA.
* H&S auditing/training qualification.
* Proactive in identifying commercial opportunities and making recommendations.
* Energetic and persistent in embracing change.
* Strong organizational, communication, and coaching skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
* Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent time management and attention to detail.
