Job Title: Housing Support Officer (Supported Housing - Birmingham) Location: Birmingham Salary: £25,500 - £27,000 per annum (Permanent Salary Estimate) Hourly Rate: £12.50 PAYE | £17.00 Umbrella Contract Type: Temp to Perm Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm (40 hours per week) Client: Arpeggio Properties (Supported Housing Division) Requirement: Must be a Car Driver with access to a vehicle About the Role We're working in partnership with Arpeggio Properties, a respected supported housing provider, to recruit Housing Support Officers in Birmingham. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering career stability, training, and long-term progression within a supportive housing environment. The role is perfect for someone who is empathetic, organised, and passionate about helping vulnerable individuals maintain independence and housing stability. You'll manage a caseload of tenants within supported accommodation - supporting residents who may be at risk of homelessness or dealing with complex personal circumstances. Your goal will be to help residents sustain tenancies, access benefits or local services, and improve their overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of residents within supported housing schemes. Assist tenants with housing applications, benefits, and tenancy sustainment. Provide welfare support and guidance to residents in need. Conduct regular check-ins and welfare visits (no personal care). Liaise with local authorities, social services, and external partners. Maintain accurate case notes and ensure safeguarding policies are followed. Handle administrative documentation and tenancy records efficiently. About You We're looking for someone compassionate yet confident - able to balance empathy with professionalism and structure. You'll be comfortable supporting individuals with varying levels of need and able to remain calm under pressure. Essential Requirements: Previous experience in housing support, homelessness, or social care (desirable but not essential). Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage a busy caseload independently. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Confident using Microsoft Office and basic admin systems. Passion for making a difference in the community.
