A vacancy has arisen for a WO (Any Profession) to serve as WO CDT at HQ Air Command (with the ability to partly WFH) on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 June 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). Job description: The WO CDT post is a hybrid working role. The candidate should be available for in Office working for a minimum of 1 day (preferably Tuesday). Responsible for the management, professional welfare and delivery of 5x OR8 (RAF FS) who make up the testing element of CDT. Planning, coordinating and implementing an approved annual CDT programme IAW JSP 835 for each FY which ensures that each year the RAF CDT Team subject RAF personnel to 25,000 tests. Actively managing a limited, current CDT programme on MODNet. Engage with tri-service CDT stakeholders to identify best practice. Actively manage the Test Numbers Register. This includes recording, monitoring, and ratifying the number of tests conducted by the RAF CDT Testing Teams on a weekly basis. Actively manage the positive results register. This includes recording of positive CDT failures, case outcomes and discharge dates, adding personnel to the Individual Re-Test List (IRT) and Persons of Interest List (POI). Continued maintenance of CDT statistical spreadsheets and analysis of data. Liaise with the main forensic services contractor to seek expert advice to assist in the administrative action and provide support to APC for CDT positive result failures that are challenged. Hold monthly meetings with the entire CDT Team via Teams or in-person and quarterly in person meetings between the CoC and entire CDT Team. Attend quarterly APC Governance Meeting. Coordinate bi-annual tri-service OR9 CDT meetings at which an agreed joint testing programme is agreed and ratified. Coordinate quarterly meetings with the RAFP to facilitate the sharing of intelligence. Act as the lead RAF CDT POC for: (1) Unit CDT tests. (2) Hair tests. Draft, review and publish sS CDT SOPs. Bi-annually contact nominated units at which the RAF CDT Team test, to conduct a review of their Stn CDT plan. Deliver an annual brief as part of the APC Conference to Stn Cdrs and SD staff on matters of the moment. Design and introduce an annual assurance programme for all RAF CDTO, this includes ensuring that each CDTO has access to a current set of SOPs, has completed the CDTO course at Upavon and, where appropriate, subsequently been validated. Provide the CoC with a quarterly CDT progress update by the end of the following month. Undertake a yearly review with your 1st RO of the CDT Team's TOR's and training plans/requirements. Draft the CDT entry on the monthly F540. Ensure that all CDTOs, including you, complete a minimum of 1 test every 3 months to remain current. Maintain active oversight over all CDT equipment, including MT, IT and testing supplies to ensure that there are sufficient supplies of equipment, in the correct location to support the approved testing programme.
