Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities
* Lead and support Team Leaders and Production Operators – keeping communication open on the shop floor, running briefings, and promoting a strong safety and quality culture.
* Make sure the daily production plan is met by organising labour, equipment, and materials and adjusting staffing where needed.
* Handle day‑to‑day people management, including training, performance discussions, recruiting support, and dealing with issues fairly and promptly.
* Take ownership of health, safety and environment standards, investigating incidents, updating systems, completing risk assessments, and driving safer ways of working.
* Use lean tools to improve processes, support preventative maintenance activities, manage time‑and‑attendance, and build good relationships with union reps.
Requirements
* Manufacturing background – the role is better suited to someone coming from an engineering industry.
* Flexibility to work on a shift basis.
* Experience dealing with unions would be beneficial.
* Experience with people management and overseeing teams of 30.
* Strong understanding of HSE requirements.
