About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar and Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our establishment, including events and special functions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining service standards, and supporting the smooth running of the bar, restaurant, and events.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily operations of the bar and restaurant to ensure efficiency and high-quality service
* Lead, motivate, and support the service team, providing training and guidance as needed
* Assist with staff scheduling, task delegation, and performance management
* Plan, coordinate, and oversee private functions, group bookings, and special events
* Work closely with the events team/management to deliver seamless service for parties, banquets, and promotions
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
* Monitor inventory, stock levels, and place orders when required
* Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
* Support the management team in implementing policies, promotions, and themed events
* Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and accurate end-of-day reporting
* Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Requirements
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality (bar, restaurant, or event operations)
* Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Knowledge of food, beverage, and event service standards
* Ability to manage events of varying size, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during special events
* Certification in food safety, alcohol service, or hospitality management is an advantage
