The opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused finance professional to join a fast-paced and evolving finance team initially on a one year fixed term contact, with a view to permanence.This position offers broad exposure across management reporting, commercial finance, audit, tax and business partnering, making it ideal for someone keen to progress their finance career within a dynamic environment.Working closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will play an important role in delivering accurate financial insight, supporting operational decision-making and driving continuous improvement across finance processes.Key areas of responsibility will include:Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts and supporting reporting packsProviding detailed analysis on sales performance, margins and profitability across key brands/business areasPartnering with commercial stakeholders to review financial performance and strengthen financial controlsMonitoring overhead spend, investigating variances against budget and preparing supporting commentarySupporting annual budgeting and forecasting processesAssisting with statutory audit preparation and responding to audit queriesPreparing tax submissions and supporting wider compliance requirementsRaising and managing purchase orders across the businessIdentifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and finance processesSupporting ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from managementThe ideal candidate will be ambitious, analytical and eager to develop within a commercially focused finance environment.Applicants should meet one of the following criteria:IATI qualified with at least 1 years relevant finance experience; orDegree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline and currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA; orA minimum of 3 years experience within a finance functionIn addition, candidates should demonstrate:Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilityStrong communication skills with the confidence to engage with non-finance stakeholdersA proactive and adaptable approach to workStrong organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider teamA continuous improvement mindset with an interest in streamlining processesWhy Apply?Excellent opportunity for career progressionExposure to commercial finance and business partneringSupportive and collaborative finance teamBroad and varied role with real business impactIdeal stepping stone for candidates progressing through professional qualificationsNext steps:If this Assistant Management Accountant role seems like the right job for you, share your cv with Nicola McCallum, Associate Director at Artemis, who is shortlisting for this position.Skills:Management Accounts Balance Sheet P&LWHJS1_NI
