We specialise in specimen tree and shrubs along with mature plants and pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service and top-quality plants. We now have an opportunity for a trainee plant buyer to join our team.
If you are passionate about plants and feel you have the relevant skills, we would love to hear from you. Retail experience would be an advantage, but not essential, ideal candidates would have good plant knowledge, experience caring for plants and exceptional customer service skills.
Main Duties and responsibilities
* Assisting in plant buying across the business, learning directly from the Director. Understanding the demands of the business and our clients and forward planning to ensure the right stock is source at the right time of the year.
* Interacting with and advising customers to ensure they feel looked after and well informed when making a purchase
* Providing customers with knowledge-based solutions to their gardening challenges
* Working closely with the rest of the team to ensure excellent standards are maintained throughout
* Processing sales through the till. Till experience useful but not essential as full training will be provided
* Working with other team members to unload, process and merchandise new stock arrivals
Pay - Up to £14.50/hr DOE
Hours
* Full time contract hours/week, to include some weekends.
