We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and grow revenue across Aquarius's full range of water compliance services. About the role: New Business Development: Identify, target, and develop new client relationships across priority sectors including commercial property, healthcare, education, leisure, and local government Build and manage a structured pipeline of qualified opportunities, maintaining accurate forecasts in the CRM Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach and site survey through proposal, negotiation, and contract award Develop a strong personal network within the water hygiene and wider TIC market Commercial: Meet and exceed monthly and annual new business revenue targets ➢ Price and propose contracts competitively, working within agreed margin guidelines Identify cross-sell opportunities across the broader Vadella Group where relevant (fire, air, H&S) Feed market intelligence back into the business to inform proposition development and pricing Collaboration: Work closely with operations to ensure smooth mobilisation of new contracts Support marketing activity by contributing to sector-specific campaigns and attending industry events Engage with the Vadella Group commercial team on group level initiatives and best practice sharing What you will bring: Essential: Demonstrable track record of new business sales success in a B2B environment Experience selling within the testing, inspection, and compliance (TIC) sector-water hygiene, legionella risk, environmental compliance, or closely adjacent Confident engaging with senior client stakeholders including FMs, HSE managers, and procurement leads Disciplined sales process comfortable managing a pipeline, forecasting accurately, and closing on time Self-starter who can operate independently in a field-based role Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to write clear proposals without over reliance on support Desirable: Knowledge of water safety legislation including L8 (HSE Approved Code of Practice), HTM 04-01, and WRAS regulations Existing network of FM, property management, or compliance contacts across commercial and public sectors Experience selling contracted services (recurring revenue) rather than transactional supply Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales methodologies BOHS, WMSoc, or equivalent water hygiene qualifications (or willingness to work towards) What’s in It for You: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus uncapped commission Car allowance or company vehicle 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension scheme Perkbox benefits platform Clear career progression path as the business and Group continue to grow The backing of a PE-funded group with genuine investment appetite in commercial capability About Vadella: Vadella Group is a PE-backed compliance services business operating across the TICC market- fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, HVAC and health and safety consulting.
