An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Support Worker to join a well-established Children's home.
This full-time role offers a salary of up to £26,150 and benefits.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support children with learning disabilities in their daily lives, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing through consistent and compassionate care.
They are looking for 2 candidates: one for day shift and one for night shift.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing direct care to children with learning disabilities, ensuring their dignity and safety.
2. Assisting with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mealtimes.
3. Building meaningful relationships to support emotional development and confidence.
4. Contributing to and delivering individual care plans that support personal growth.
5. Liaising with families and external professionals for holistic support.
6. Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
7. Documenting observations and progress to inform care strategies.
Candidate requirements:
1. Previous experience in roles such as Residential Support Worker, Childcare Worker, or similar.
2. At least 1 year supporting children, especially those with additional needs.
3. Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent preferred.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Full UK driving license.
