We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Procurement to lead and stabilise the indirect procurement function during a period of change. The role will provide strategic oversight and hands‑on leadership across key indirect spend categories including Technology, Professional Services, Fleet, Facilities, and Corporate Services.
The successful interim will be a pragmatic operator with strong stakeholder credibility, capable of delivering immediate value, managing risk, and embedding best‑practice procurement governance within a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Own and lead the end‑to‑end indirect procurement strategy, aligned to business objectives and regulatory requirements
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, Legal, HR and Operations
* Assess current procurement maturity and define pragmatic improvement priorities suitable for an interim mandate
Category & Commercial Management
* Professional Services (Consulting, Legal, Audit)
* Fleet & Mobility
* Facilities & Corporate Services
* Lead or support high‑value sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier renewals
* Drive cost optimisation, value generation and risk mitigation initiatives
* Ensure procurement activity complies with internal policies, financial controls, and relevant regulatory standards
* Strengthen supplier risk management, contract governance and third‑party oversight
* Support audits and work closely with Risk, Compliance and Legal teams
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
* Lead, mentor and stabilise the procurement team; provide clarity, direction and pace
* Manage senior stakeholders through complex or sensitive commercial discussions
* Influence without bureaucracy, balancing speed with robustness
Transformation & Change (as required)
* Support procurement transformation initiatives (e.g. operating model, process redesign, tooling)
* Embed sustainable ways of working that will endure beyond the interim assignment
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience operating at Head of Procurement / Procurement Director level, ideally within financial services or a similarly regulated environment
* Strong generalist indirect procurement background across multiple categories (tech, professional services, fleet, facilities, etc.)
* Demonstrable track record of delivering value quickly in an interim or transformation context
* Excellent commercial acumen with deep experience in complex contract negotiation
* Strong understanding of supplier risk, governance and third‑party management
* Confident, credible communicator able to influence senior leaders
* Pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset — comfortable being both strategic and hands‑on
