The Setting: A specialist provision in Leeds supporting pupils with significant social, emotional and mental health needs—many of whom have experienced trauma, disrupted education, or exclusion. Your Role: Teach small classes with high staff-to-pupil ratios Build trust with young people who may have never felt safe at school Plan engaging, flexible lessons that meet diverse emotional and academic needs Support pupils in understanding and regulating behaviour Work closely with therapists, TAs, and parents to provide joined-up care Celebrate the good days, hold space on the hard ones, and never give up We’re Looking For: QTS or ECT/NQT status (experience in SEMH or PRU settings is a big plus) An ability to connect with learners others may have written off A grounded, trauma-informed approach to behavi...
