As a KS1 Teacher, you will deliver high-quality Key Stage 1 teaching with a particular focus on phonics and early literacy, including Read Write Inc. (RWI). Alongside your classroom responsibilities, you will take on additional responsibilities aligned with your strengths and experience, offering genuine progression within a thriving Gloucester school.
The successful KS1 Teacher will:
* Demonstrate consistently strong KS1 teaching practice
* Have excellent knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics and early reading
* Show confidence in delivering and supporting Read Write Inc. (RWI)
* Set high expectations to secure strong outcomes in reading, writing, and maths
* Support pupils with SEND and diverse learning needs
* Build positive, professional relationships with staff, pupils, and families
* Contribute to subject leadership, mentoring, or whole-school initiatives

* Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the KS1 curriculum
* Lead or support phonics and early reading development, including RWI
* Work closely with SLT and KS1 colleagues
* Support attainment, inclusion, and curriculum development
