About the Company: We are working with a well-established and highly regarded financial planning firm based in Meriden, Coventry, with a presence in Cardiff. The firm is known for its client-focused, values-led approach and long-term commitment to the development of its staff. As part of their ongoing growth, they are now seeking a Senior Paraplanner to join their expanding team in Cardiff.
Role Overview: As a Senior Paraplanner, you will play a key role in supporting financial planners with high-quality technical research, detailed report writing, and the delivery of bespoke financial planning solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically astute individual looking to progress within a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning solutions.
Prepare detailed suitability reports and recommendation letters in line with FCA requirements.
Work closely with financial advisers to develop and implement tailored financial planning strategies.
Ensure all client files meet compliance and audit standards.
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge across all relevant areas of financial planning.
Review existing financial plans to assess their ongoing suitability.
Support and mentor junior paraplanners or administrators as required.
Liaise with providers and third parties to gather plan information and valuations.
Requirements: Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent) essential
Working toward or interest in achieving Chartered status desirable
Proven experience as a paraplanner in a financial planning or wealth management environment
Excellent report writing and research skills
Strong knowledge of financial products, compliance standards, and FCA regulations
Organised, analytical, and client-focused with strong communication skills
Experience using financial planning software (e.g., Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, Voyant) is a plus
