Shepherd and Wedderburn are currently recruiting for a solicitor (2-4 years PQE) to join their infrastructure (Projects) team based at our office in Edinburgh.
The role will involve working on complex and high value infrastructure projects across a number of sectors, including healthcare, education, waste, streetlight and energy. The workload is interesting and varied with the team advising public sector bodies, funders and the private sector on projects from their origination right through to their operation. The work will likely involve carrying out due diligence on contracts required for the design, build and maintenance of projects (including contracts such as DBFM Agreements, Construction Contracts, FM Agreements, Collateral Warranties and Direct Agreements), drafting contracts in relation to variations at operational projects (including works variations) and providing advice in connection with procurement and contract interpretation.
