We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Operations Assistant to join our Finance team on a 12–Month Fixed Term Contract. This role is pivotal in delivering a high-quality, professional financial operations service across the Group, ensuring robust, compliant, and efficient processes. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end sales ledger process, including timely invoice generation, receivables maintenance, and resolving customer and sponsor queries Maintain accurate accounts receivable records, including allocations, ageing analysis, and account setup Perform daily bank reconciliations, cashbook postings, and monitor the Group’s cash position Support accounts payable processes, including reviewing ad-hoc payments and preparing payment runs Oversee credit card and expense processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement Lead on process improvement initiatives, identifying efficiencies and enhancing financial controls Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and treasury/accrual-related entries Provide training and guidance to the wider business on financial processes and best practices Manage and develop the Financial Operations Assistant, including workload allocation, performance tracking, and mentoring Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Proven experience in purchase and sales ledger operations, ideally within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong understanding of financial operations best practices, including P2P and O2C processes. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills. High level of numeracy and attention to detail, with strong accuracy. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making ability. Ability to work independently and lead others, fostering development within a team. Benefits Investing in your career is paramount.
