We'll help you grow your career while supporting thriving communities and making a real impact every day.\n\nThe Role\nAs a Helpdesk Administration Apprentice, you'll be a key member of our Service Desk team, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth coordination of facilities services across our contracts.\n\nThis is a fast-paced, organised, and detail-driven role where your focus will be on keeping information accurate, actions tracked, and communication flowing between teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.\n\nYou'll gain hands-on experience in business administration while developing the skills needed to build a strong career in operational support.\n\n\n\n\n You'll learn to:\n\nAccurately log, update, and maintain records across internal systems (including CAFM platforms such as Maximo)\nManage shared inboxes, ensuring requests are reviewed, prioritised, and actioned in a timely way\nSupport the coordination of work by raising, tracking, and updating jobs and service requests\nProcess and prepare key administrative documents including purchase orders, quotations, and contract paperwork\nMaintain clear and accurate records relating to job progress, compliance, and contractor activity\nSupport reporting activities by gathering data and preparing basic management information\nCommunicate professionally with colleagues, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to support smooth service delivery\nThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, organisation, and working behind the scenes to keep everything running efficiently.\n\nYour Apprenticeship\nYou'll be enrolled onto a SCQF Level 6 Business Administration Apprenticeship, delivered with full support from a dedicated training provider.\n\nYou'll develop key skills including:\n\nBusiness administration and coordination\nProfessional communication\nData management and systems use\nOrganisation, planning, and prioritisation\nYou'll receive structured learning, one-to-one support, and regular check-ins to help you grow in confidence and capability throughout your apprenticeship.\n Could you be our next Apprentice?\n\nWe're searching for ambitious, driven individuals who are excited about learning and ready to take on new challenges. To succeed as a Mitie apprentice, you'll need:\n\nA keen interest in your chosen field.\nThe ability to think critically and find solutions.\nDedication to completing your apprenticeship and growing with Mitie.\nGCSEs in Maths and English (Grades 4-9 or equivalent) or Scottish National 5 certificates (Grade A-C). Certificates must be provided at the interview stage.\nNo prior experience? No problem! If you're enthusiastic and ready to learn, we'll give you all the tools you need to succeed.
