CNC Turner Required Milton Keynes
Role Summary:
The CNC Turner will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision components to the required specifications. The role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.
* Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and other relevant equipment.
* Program machines or adjust existing programmes to achieve the required tolerances.
* Conduct quality checks on finished components using measuring instruments.
* Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to the supervisor.
* Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
* Work closely with other workshop staff to meet production schedules.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience as in CNC machining, preferably turning within an engineering environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD data.
* Competent in setting up and operating CNC machines.
* Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Personal Qualities:
* Reliable and punctual.
* Methodical and precise.
* Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
* Flexible and willing to learn new techniques.
