What You Will Do
1. Analyze Project Specifications – Assess technical requirements for BMS integration, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry best practices.
2. Collaborate with Key Stakeholders – Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to develop optimized and cost-effective BMS solutions. Engage with Subcontractors & Suppliers – Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and competitive services/products.
3. Develop Detailed Pre-Design Documentation – Prepare technical documents, including system architecture, technical solution descriptions, and compliance checklists.
4. Work on Value Engineering (VE) Designs – Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising functionality or performance, ensuring the most efficient solution for the project.
5. Enhance Proposal Strategy – Incorporate client feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence to refine technical proposals.
6. Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Align designs with UK industry standards, building regulations, and energy efficiency mandates.
7. Develop Cost Estimates & Walkthroughs – Create detailed cost breakdowns, conduct cost walkthroughs with clients and contractors to validate budgets.
8. Provide Technical Support During Pre-Sales – Assist the sales team in solution validation, prepare/present technical presentations, and address client concerns.
9. Benchmark Against Competitors – Analyze competitor solutions to position proposals effectively.
Required
* Proven experience in BMS solution design and project cost estimation within a BMS environment.
* Professional experience of 5+ years.
* Relevant Qualifications: BCRIA Certification / Engineering Degree.
* Strong technical ability working on small, large, and complex BMS Projects.
* Proficiency in PDF documents & drawings, MS Visio, and all Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
* Knowledge of BMS specifications, scope of work, and system requirements.
* Experience in designing BMS Main Structures and operation scenarios aligned with specifications.
Preferred
* Ability to create/control Valve & Actuator Selection and Valve Schedules.
* AutoCAD experience.
