As Procurement Support, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior & Lead Buyer with day-to-day transactional activities. You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes in line with Procurement excellence.
The Industrial Policy, Supply Chain and Procurement (ISP) organisation manages procurement and supply chain activities for direct and indirect products and services across projects and the business, with a total spend of approximately €500M per year in UK, France, and Italy. Reporting to the Procurement Team Lead, you will maintain strong relationships with MBDA multifunctional teams and suppliers to align supply with development and production needs.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, handling complex stakeholder management and strategic sourcing to meet current and future requirements.
Main Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the Lead and Senior Buyers in implementing Frame Contracts on SAP.
2. Raising Purchase Orders from SAP requisitions.
3. Downloading data packs and preparing them for Buyer review.
4. Notifying Manufacturing Planning teams and Requestors of PO creation, including confirming supplier contacts for Free Issue Material transfer.
5. Managing SAP data, including Material Master & Purchase Info Records.
6. Managing Open Order Book with suppliers, including Delivery Dates, Reason Codes, and Acknowledgements.
7. Locating deliveries and resolving queries related to Goods Inwards.
8. Resolving invoice queries with Suppliers and Finance.
9. Supporting stakeholders effectively.
10. Performing data analysis and validation as required.
11. Supporting specific activities requested by the Procurement Leadership Team.
You should have in-depth knowledge of transactional and operational procurement processes, be an excellent team player, and capable of leading within your category. Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to influence at all levels. A passion for driving improvements to meet business needs is also important.
Minimum Requirements:
* Procurement and Supply Chain experience, including principles, practices, and processes.
* Commercial and financial understanding.
* Excellent communication skills for various stakeholder levels.
* Negotiation and influencing skills to secure optimal commercial positions.
* High computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
* Optional: MCIPS or working towards it, or an equivalent qualification such as HNC/HND in Business Studies.
Security Clearance: Applicants must be British Citizens or dual UK nationals with British citizenship. Post-offer, candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by MBDA's Security Team.
