Job Description
We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the travel & leisure sector to appoint a Privacy by Design consultant, a key role designed to strengthen privacy-by-design practices as the business goes through a digital transformation.
This is a great opportunity for a technically minded privacy professional who thrives on collaboration, problem‑solving and enabling business change through pragmatic, commercially aware advice.
The Opportunity
As Privacy by Design consultant, you will play a central role in helping the organisation meet its supervisory, guest and employee expectations around personal data handling. Working within the Global Ethics & Compliance function, you’ll support the delivery of a robust, transparent and efficient privacy framework.
You will be responsible for driving privacy-by-design activities across the business, including:
* Leading DPIA, LIA and other assessment processes — gathering evidence from stakeholders, analysing processing activities and presenting risk‑based conclusions for senior management and DPO review.
* Acting as a privacy advisor within project lifecycles, providing clear, pragmatic direction on mitigating data protection risk.
* Responding to internal enquiries as part of a collaborative Privacy & Data Protection management team.
* Coaching and supporting colleagues, helping embed a strong privacy culture through targeted guidance and training.
* Maintaining core privacy records, ensuring clear documentation across DPIAs, LIAs and other assessments.
* Identifying opportunities to enhance business processes and unlock commercial value through better privacy practice.
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who brings:
* Strong experience in privacy, data protection or regulatory compliance.
* Confidence operating DPIAs, LIAs and other assessment frameworks.
* The ability to balance risk with commercial realities.
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder‑management capability.
* A collaborative mindset and a passion for embedding best practice.
The role is 3 days a week in the Southampton office, and offered as a two-year FTC.
