Sitting within the Finance Operations Management Team, this position acts as a key link between the accounting service function, finance business partners, and wider stakeholders. What will the Senior Finance Manager role involve?
Lead and develop a large finance team (around 15–20 staff including 3 direct reports).
Oversee period-end close, review key outputs, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with Finance Business Partners to interpret key cost drivers, support financial performance reviews, and advise on technical accounting matters.
Deliver meaningful analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Champion process improvement and efficiency across the Finance Operations function.
Suitable Candidate for the Senior Finance Manager vacancy:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with broad finance experience.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate large teams within a complex environment.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls.
Skilled at translating complex data into clear, actionable insight.
Collaborative, organised, and committed to continuous improvement.
