As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. You will demonstrate high standards in cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures, training new starters on equipment, or cleaning spills, you'll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.
HC-One is looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience. Ideally, you will have an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or be willing to study for one. Good record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, you should be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues if necessary.
