We are currently seeking a Stock & Finance Assistant on behalf of our client for an ongoing temporary role, with the possibility of it going permanent. This role is with a dynamic and fast-paced company, whose Head Office is based in Milton Keynes.
The role:
Location: Milton Keynes
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, hybrid, after training
Hourly Rate: £16.82 per hour (Annual salary approximately £35,000)
Duration: 6-7 months initially, with potential extension or permanence
Your main duties will include:
* Checking and posting UK Ocean Freight and Duty Invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing
* Performing month-end UK statement reconciliations with logistics providers to ensure accuracy
* Tracking and maintaining detailed records of UK ocean freight invoices and charges
* Assisting in the monthly release of UK ocean freight costs to the Profit & Loss statement
* Supporting and defining stock management processes in the new system, including:
o Stock reconciliations
o Stock value reporting
o Stock movement journals
o Reviewing for anomalies in stock reports
o Managing shipped not invoiced reports
o Approving bills of materials
* Providing support for other finance areas, including Purchase Ledger and General Ledger
* Performing ad-hoc duties as delegated by the Finance Manager or CFO
Position requirements:
Skills & abilities required include:
* Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
* Sound decision-making skills and good business judgment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Recent experience with D365 is advantageous; strong Excel skills are essential
* A proactive approach and interest in maintaining clean ledgers
* Knowledge of operations, import, and export processes is beneficial
