The George Pub in the village of Little Brickhill, Milton Keynes are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Sous Chef to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Standard Working Pattern: Wednesdays & Thursdays - 4pm-close Fridays & Saturdays - 11am-close Sunday - 11am-6pm (approx) (working pattern may change slightly over festive period, we give all our staff Christmas Day off!) Duties 1. Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation, ensuring high-quality standards are met. 2. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance. 3. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining proper stock levels. 4. Oversee food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations. 5. Coordinate banquet services and special events, ensuring all culinary needs are met. 6. Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes.
