A well-established secondary school in Croydon is looking for a dedicated School Caretaker to join our site team from September 2025. This is a key role in ensuring our school remains a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks across the school site. Opening and closing the school premises (site security). Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times. Managing cleaning staff and ensuring cleanliness across the site. Assisting with setting up rooms for school events, exams, and activities. Monitoring contractors on site and overseeing planned maintenance schedules. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, or site management role (school setting desirable). Basic maintenance and DIY skills (plumbing, painting, carpentry, etc.). Good knowledge of health and safety regulations. A proactive, flexible, and reliable attitude.
