Key Purpose
As a Programme Controller, you’ll play a key role in providing accurate planning, scheduling, cost, and risk management support across our Capital Programme. Your insights will directly inform decision-making at the highest level, helping ensure we meet strategic outcomes on time, within budget, and with full transparency.
You’ll work across a diverse range of stakeholders—including Planning Managers, Portfolio Leads, Delivery Teams, and PMO—offering critical support and data that underpins successful programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Support programme and portfolio management with data-driven insight to optimise plans and enable smart investment decisions.

Develop and maintain baseline delivery plans, forecasting schedules and financials with accuracy and clarity.

Drive compliance with change, quality, and risk control standards across the project lifecycle.

Provide assurance, analysis, and recommendations to help deliver key capital projects and mitigate risks.
*
Facilitate clear, concise reporting that highlights threats, opportunities, and programme performance.
*
Help set annual budgets and guide financial planning using robust, validated data.
*
Work with planning tools and reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align planning with operational and strategic priorities

Package
This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.
Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working between our Falmer office and home.
