Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and driven General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations across all aspects of Winslade Manor – including the restaurant, bar, events, and external catering services. Working closely with the Managing Director and Executive Chef, you will lead the front-of-house and operations teams, ensuring flawless execution, a strong financial performance, and an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong, hands-on leadership across all departments, fostering a high-performance culture. With the successful candidate being seen as the host for all busy services and events.
* Manage day-to-day operations across the restaurant, bar, events, and outside catering contracts
* Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Executive Chef on strategic planning and operational delivery
* Drive service standards and consistently exceed guest expectations
* Oversee staffing, recruitment, training, and team development
* Monitor financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and food safety regulations
* Develop and maintain supplier relationships and stock management systems
* Act as the face of the business, maintaining client relationships and driving new business opportunities, particularly in the events and outside catering sectors
About You
* Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leadership role in a high-end, fast-paced hospitality environment
* Exceptional leadership and people management skills
* Operationally strong with a hands-on approach and eye for detail
* Financially astute with experience in budgeting, P&L, and cost control
* Outstanding communication and organisational skills
* Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure
* Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences
* Experience in events and off-site catering logistics is a significant advantage

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
