Salary: GBP14 - GBP16 per hour
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Ongoing Temporary
Hours: 40 hours Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Responsibilities
* Measuring, cutting, and assembling metal components into high-quality subassemblies and final units.
* Carrying out drilling, grinding, and finishing work to ensure precise fits.
* Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
* Using fasteners and fixings (bolts, rivets, screws) to secure and align components.
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings to plan and carry out fitting tasks.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fitting, fabrication, or mechanical assembly.
* Ability to read and work from technical/engineering drawings.
* Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
* Practical, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
* Health & Safety conscious with good organisational skills.
