Your new role
As Senior Procurement Manager, you’ll lead and deliver a wide variety of procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading projects and providing expert procurement advice to clients in both public and private sectors
2. Coordinating the production of reports and procurement documentation
3. Shaping business cases, strategies, and delivery models for robustmercial practices
4. Managing project delivery teams and supporting colleagues
5. Building strong client relationships and representing the procurement function at industry events
6. Negotiating and awarding a range of contracts, both standard and bespoke
What you'll need to succeed
7. BSc qualification and full MCIPS membership
8. Proven experience in client-facing environments and managing client relationships
9. Track record of identifying and bidding for new projects
10. Expertise in drafting procurement strategies and tender evaluation reports for construction, infrastructure, and professional services
11. Knowledge ofmercial principles, contracting strategies, and risk management
12. Awareness of public sector procurement regulations and uing legislative changes
13. Understanding of contract forms such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC
