As a Deputy Home Manager, you will ensure the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This includes providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
About You
HC‑One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with a valid NMC Pin, knowledge of National Standards, and the NMC code of practice. You should have experience in person‑centred care planning within a care home, possess brilliant, positive energy, and a natural ability to get along with people. You will be a great mentor who can manage time effectively, keep meaningful records, and communicate with residents or co‑workers in a considerate and kind manner. You will also value kindness above all; it drives every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise, including reporting and escalating if action is not taken. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake further training as needed.
About HC‑One
At HC‑One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.
We show kindness through five qualities we call Kindness the HC‑One Way: Curious – we ask questions, look for clues and seek to understand. Compassionate – we try to walk in the shoes of others. Creative – we are practical, using our imagination to make things happen. Courageous – we support residents to live the life they want. Counted on – we are reliable.
We champion inclusivity, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves.
Our dedicated, professional colleagues strive to consistently deliver outstanding care and support their personal and professional growth through robust career pathways, CPD and postgraduate programmes.
