Job Overview

IMMI provides high quality and innovative vehicle occupant safety solutions throughout the world. This role will be based at our UK manufacturing operations (20 employees). This role involves creating and maintaining relationships with our customers and promoting excellence, through effective communication. The role will require you to develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and processes, statutory requirements, corporate responsibilities, compliance and policies as well as regulations and standards, relating to our Global customers and markets. This is a multi-faceted role and the applicant must be confident, logical and well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks, under pressure. Professional and timely communication with all stakeholders is required to ensure customer satisfaction and facilitate growth in IMMI's market share.

Responsibilities

1. First point of contact with customers, taking orders (inputting into ERP) and updating them on progress, reviewing and releasing discreet jobs as required to achieve the weekly production plan. Checks delivery reports in relation to final assemblies, liaising with the customer, negotiating alternative delivery dates etc.

2. Works in partnership with the Sales Manager and the wider team, to ensure detailed customer quotations are created and communicated, with the customer.

3. Setting up new customer accounts, sending price updates and co-ordinating customer samples with production and Sales.

4. Supports customers with initial technical queries, following a triage system before escalating more complex issues to engineering, as necessary.

5. Create change requests and have key participation in our change order process, chases progress as and when required, working closely with project managemen

6. Lead the transfer of the generation of our export documentation from our 3rd party partner, bringing the system in-house. Creating and maintaining Certificates of Origin, movement certificates, ATA Carnets / duplicate lists etc.

7. Operates in collaboration with our internal and external stakeholders and our 3rd party partners, globally, to ensure our regulatory compliance and Corporate Social, Environmental and Economic responsibilities are developed, maintained and communicated with our customers, in an ever demanding trading arena.

8. Be willing to take on extra responsibilities related to the role, in due course.

Education and/or Experience

2-3 A levels at minimum pass grades or a BTec L3 with merits and distinctions, in appropriate subject matter.

A degree in a related subject, is preferable.

All training will be given, both on-the-job and with external providers, as necessary

Skills / Qualifications

Experience within a highly flexible and lean manufacturing environment would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Must be a self-starter, willing to learn and be able to develop and follow policies, procedures and processes.

Have the tenacity and assertiveness to co-ordinate and motivate internal and external stakeholders.

Experience of working directly and confidently with customers would be advantageous.

Language Skills

Excellent communication skills

Fluent in English

Competence in German would be desirable

Technical/Computer Skills

Experience of Oracle ERP would be beneficial but is not essential, as training will be given.

Good experience and working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel), is essential.

Other Skills and Abilities

A passion for excellence; in serving our customers as well as the development of Environmental, Social, Economic and Ethical aspects of business, would be advantageous.

Working as a pivotal member of the team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
