Occupational Therapist - HCOP (Healthcare of the Older Person)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic therapy team at NUH. A passion for working with and improving outcomes for frail older adults is essential. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The team covers 9 wards across QMC and City campus, including acute wards, medically fit wards, and the Medical Mental Health Unit, with an emphasis on Dementia and Delirium, resulting in a varied caseload.
You will be supported to develop specialist skills in the complex assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of older people with complex physical, cognitive, and social needs, ensuring a holistic, patient-centered approach. We collaborate closely with system partners and aim for excellence in discharge planning from the acute setting.

You will join an experienced, supportive senior team that values professional development across the four pillars of practice. We provide a comprehensive induction, regular clinical supervision, and an annual personal development review. The team is supported by a Clinical Lead and a Clinical Academic. The successful candidate will also support the development of junior colleagues and participate in the education of Student Occupational Therapists.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients with diverse presentations.
2. Manage complex discharges and support team members accordingly.
3. Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and other professions.
4. Optimize patient flow.
5. Supervise Band 5 OTs and support staff effectively.
6. Deputize for Band 7 OTs as appropriate.
7. Work flexibly, including rostered weekends.
