Scope
Part of a team of Inventory Planners, the Planner manages a subset of products, will be a stakeholder in strategic Planning projects, and develop optimized Planning business processes to drive results. The position demands daily interaction with colleagues and internal customers across several geographies.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of products, monitor customer service and optimize inventory levels through detailed data analysis and managing the end-to-end resupply planning process.
* Analyse demand forecasts, execute order release, troubleshoot inventory/transactional discrepancies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver company objectives.
* Manage inventory at product and item levels to achieve availability and optimization goals.
* Execute the resupply plan through local and global packaging and distribution functions.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing Planning Teams and Global Supply Chain Team to support global service and inventory goals and resolve supply chain issues.
* Provide input to monthly Demand and Operations Planning processes and support product lifecycle from launch through discontinuation.
* Monitor resupply of products using business analytics to identify priorities and maintain high levels of customer service.
* Communicate risks and opportunities to the supply chain hierarchy and external stakeholders; support continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
* Support team members in planning strategies and best practices; troubleshoot and resolve transactional/inventory/system discrepancies; ensure accuracy and timely resolution.
* Ensure compliance with inventory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; advanced skills preferred.
* Strong analytical skills with ability to utilize data from multiple sources.
* Experience with ERP/Planning systems; Oracle, Logility or o9 preferred.
* Willing and able to travel to global locations (preferred).
* Outstanding verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
* Ability to work independently or in a team environment with significant interaction across peers, customers and colleagues.
* Ability to operate in a regulated environment and follow SOPs.
Travel
5% domestic and international travel.
Work Environment
* Prolonged sitting in front of a computer; normal office environment with occasional visits to the warehouse floor.
Experience
* 2+ years of Supply Chain/Planning or related experience preferred.
* Experience in a regulated environment preferred.
* ERP/Planning software experience required; Logility or o9 preferred.
Education
* Associates degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Completion of, or in progress of, APICS, CPIM, or CSCP Certification strongly desired.
