As a result of the post holder retiring, there is a requirement for a dynamic individual to join the NHS Fife Practice and Professional Development Team. The lead PEF works closely with the Head of Department, NHS Education for Scotland and partner Higher Education Institutions in a leadership role to provide effective managerial support, education and development. This role includes working with managers, clinical staff, practice assessors and supervisors to support student nurses and midwives across all practice learning environments within Fife. The post-holder will be expected to lead the team, provide strategic direction, and inspire and support the PEF/CHEF team to maintain the Quality Standards for Practice Placements and the NMC Standards to support supervision and assessment in practice.
You will be able to evidence well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent levels of communication and have experience in teaching and facilitation. Excellent organisational skills coupled with an ability to lead and manage a team will be required to ensure that local and national priorities are delivered by the Board.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is a condition of this post and the successful applicant will require to join the scheme prior to appointment.
