As a Housekeeping Assistant with CrossReach, your work will help create a space where residents feel comfortable, cared for and respected. You’ll play a key part in keeping our home clean, safe and welcoming for older people.

What Your Day Could Involve

1. Cleaning and maintaining bedrooms, bathrooms and shared areas
2. Supporting residents to take pride in their personal spaces
3. Working as part of a team to meet daily housekeeping schedules
4. Assisting new staff with housekeeping routines
5. Taking part in meetings and training sessions
6. Following Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines

About You
You’re dependable, friendly and take pride in a job well done. You bring care and attention to everything you do. Experience in a care setting would be helpful but it’s not essential as we’ll provide full training. You have basic computer literacy, PVG Scheme membership and a commitment to creating a warm and respectful home environment.

As a Christian organisation, you will need to have a respect for all aspects of Christian worship.

You will also need to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of practice.
