Overview
Join the Heat Network Operations team where you contribute to a critically important function at the intersection of operational excellence and commercial success. You will be part of a team whose contribution is recognised and valued across the organisation, learning to resolve technical issues that help Switch2 deliver exceptional service while identifying opportunities that support business growth. You will manage our exceptions management programme and optimise portfolio, learning to identify, investigate, and coordinate the resolution of prepayment credit issues and poorly performing properties. As you develop, you will share knowledge across the business and provide analysis that supports key business decisions, contributing to carbon reduction projects within the UK Net Zero journey.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Monitoring
* Monitor prepayment credit performance using exception reports and BI analytics tools
* Analyse heat network performance data to identify properties needing attention
* Assess and prioritise issues based on urgency and impact
* Develop understanding of data patterns and what they mean for the business
Coordination & Communication
* Coordinate appointment bookings through Customer Service for property visits
* Create clear briefings for Field Service engineers
* Track progress on active cases using Jira systems
* Support monthly reporting that goes to clients and senior management
Learning & Development
* Work closely with experienced team members to develop technical knowledge and business understanding
* Build relationships across Customer Service, Field Services, and Client Account Management teams
* Learn about debt management, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance
* Identify patterns that may suggest new service opportunities or improvements
* Participate in carbon reduction projects that support the UK's Net Zero journey
* Share insights and learnings with the team to drive collective improvement

Essential
* GCSEs including English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Strong numeracy and comfortable working with data/spreadsheets
* Good communication skills
* Interest in energy, sustainability, or environmental issues
Desirable
* A-Levels, university degree, or relevant vocational qualifications
* Experience with data analysis or reporting
* Internship, apprenticeship, or part-time work experience
* Knowledge of energy sector or environmental sustainability
* Experience using project management or tracking systems
