Description
Footasylum is a leading UK-based retailer specialising in streetwear and sportswear, committed to delivering innovative and trend-setting products to our customers, with a strong focus on digital transformation and data-driven decision-making.
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to work alongside the Group Financial Controller and the wider finance function. The role is varied and will be split between reporting, control and compliance with key responsibilities around capital expenditure in a year which is going to see Footasylum’s largest ever CAPEX investment ever.
The Team
The role will report into the Group Financial Controller but will work closely with the management accounts and transactional teams (incl. cash and banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable). In the area of CAPEX there will be requirements to liaise with the wider business around capital projects and budgets.

Requirements
· Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA CIMA etc.)
Responsibilities
Reporting
o Monthly board and bank reporting
o Bi-weekly and monthly shareholder reporting
Tax and VAT
o UK and overseas VAT returns (incl. liaising with tax advisors)
o Corporation tax (incl. Capital Allowances, Transfer Pricing, R&D etc.)
Controls and Compliance
o Support on Cashflow forecasting and liquidity management
o Balance sheet reconciliations
CAPEX
o Budgeting, accounting for, and reporting capital expenditure
o Management of IFRS 16 Leases
