Overview
Join the University of Cambridge as a Research Assistant/Associate in High Energy Physics Theory. The role focuses on developing cutting‑edge, high‑precision calculations in the Standard Model for LHC phenomenology and future colliders.
Responsibilities
* Develop and/or use high‑precision calculations for LHC processes (NLO, NNLO, N3LO).
* Calculate multiloop/multileg amplitudes and match parton showers with higher‑order calculations.
* Perform heavy flavour physics calculations.
* Collaborate with a team, publish results, and contribute to the department’s research agenda.
Qualifications
* PhD in Theoretical Physics (or close to obtaining) with a proven track record in precision calculations for hadron colliders.
* Experience in NLO, NNLO, or N3LO calculations, multiloop/multileg amplitude calculations, and matching parton showers with higher‐order calculations.
* Solid computational skills and strong organisational, communication, and team‑working skills.
* Publications in major journals demonstrating expertise.
Application Process
Please upload your CV, a list of publications, a covering letter, and a 2‑4 page summary of your research interests and future plans. Provide the contact details of at least two referees. Submit before the closing date. Use reference KA48061 on all correspondence.
