Duties of the HGV Technician:
8. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a fleet of heavy goods vehicles.
9. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
10. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
11. Complete diagnostic checks using modern tools and equipment
12. Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken
13. Support in MOT preparation and vehicle defect rectification
14. Assist with emergency breakdowns when necessary
Requirements for the HGV Technician role:
15. Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role within the commercial vehicle industry
16. Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repairs
17. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage workload
18. Hold relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
19. Full UK driving licence
20. Own tools are preferred but not essential
21. Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality standards
