A major data centre development in Berkshire is looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical delivery on a high-profile, mission-critical project.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing contractor working at the forefront of the UK’s booming data centre market.
The Role
As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a package of a £100m+ electrical scope (Technology, Structured Cabling, BMS) from design coordination through installation, commissioning, and handover.
You’ll play a key leadership role on-site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead electrical engineering delivery across the project lifecycle
* Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers on-site
* Coordinate with design teams, client reps, and commissioning partners
* Oversee installation quality, testing, and compliance
* Drive programme performance and resolve technical issues
* Ensure all works meet health & safety and industry standards
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer on large-scale projects
* Data centre or other mission-critical environment experience strongly preferred
* Strong knowledge of ELV systems, BMS, structured cabling and IT
* Ability to manage teams and subcontractor performance
* Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
* Relevant electrical engineering qualification or trade background
